about

Rawhide was one of a pair of songs (with 'Sally Skull') written by Clare, Saskia, Phil and Jane in 1994. Never released and home recorded in Saskia's living room. This is the sound of a very new band!

lyrics

She shoots from the hip
And she don't take no lip
She took out her gun
And shot those men to kingdom come

With her silver metal mother
You better run for cover
And if you don't believe them
Watch her whip a lower head off a stem
So don't give her a tough time
Cos she's tougher than rawhide
One man looked at her askance
She shot his boots to make him dance

She shoots from the hip
And she don't take no lip
She took out her gun
And shot those men to kingdom come

Sally get your gun Sally
Sally get your gun Sally
